Well organized Dunkin Donuts. The staff is awesome! They are fast and efficient, in and out in seconds. They take the time to get to know the usuals, always have my coffee ready just the way I like it ;). The manager is professional, making sure everything runs smooth. This is my preferred DD for sure. AM Gas Running on Dunkin !!!!!

There are two other DD's that come to mind that are nearby that are better in every way shape and form. EVERY TIME I make the mistake of coming to this location I immediately regret it and this past trip put me over the edge. For the record, there is a smaller DD on Ditmars and 37th St (or 38th, cant remember), save yourself the hassle and go there or to the one on Astoria Blvd. They are so sweet in there, and if you're in there enough they will remember you by face/name. My main gripe with this place is the service. THEY ARE TERRIBLE. We don't need you to be chipper but could you at least not be rude? I came in there on Saturday morning and ordered an ice coffee. When she handed it to me, I remembered this is the place that doesn't have splenda out (yes i like splenda and my coffee sweet, judge me). Anyhow, I ask her for a few splenda. She gives me one. I go "oh can i have a couple more please?" and she looks me dead in the eye and goes "no" I thought it was a joke at first and then she proceeded to be like that coffee is already sweetened and I'm like "that's fine and I know but can I have another please?" and she said no and proceeded to berate me about the coffee being sweetened. YES I AM AWARE. Why is this broad telling me how to take my coffee? If I ask you for a couple splenda, just give it to me. YOU HAVE ONE JOB AND THATS TO SERVE COFFEE. This is the last time I will ever come here. If i had more energy I would have complained to management for this ridiculous encounter.

I've been to this Dunkin Donuts a few times when I've been in a hurry for some coffee or a sandwich in the morning. The service has been consistently terrible and I have no idea what they do to their food but it sometimes tastes strange like it's been left out for a long time with a chemical-like after taste. What's up with the rude ass mumbling people behind the counter? Where the hell has the customer service gone? I'm usually sweet as pie and not fussy at all - but when I get attitude for trying to order a simple menu item, I get pissed. These people deserve to be run out of business. Never patronizing this place again.

So this is what it's come to, huh. I'm reviewing a Dunkin' Donuts on Yelp. It's not even the fact that it's a Dunkin' Donuts, but it's the fact that there are 5 other Dunkin' Donii in a 1 mile radius in this area, and I had to CHOOSE which one I'd review. As for a review, I mean, you know. They know what they're doing here. I mean, they follow a procedure that's in some manual lying somewhere beneath the marble counter. The franchisee isn't messing up anything as far as protocol goes. Do they put too much caramel in the latte, too much milk in the iced coffee? Are the jelly donuts gravid with fly larvae? Yes to all three, but... it's a Dunkin' Donuts. I have more of a beef to pick with these Greek senior citizens who colonize a quarter of the seating area. God, sometimes the only thing these guys are missing is a flag. They sprawl out, usually one guy to one table, and yammer on across the shop like they're Zeus's gift. Definitely not a place you bring a novel to. I will say that at 3AM, you run into some really interesting creatures. Like Andy Warhol level of uniqueness. OK, I'm off to go find a DMV to review.

The worst DD I have been to, considering how DD has gone down hill over the last 5 years, this is a filthy example. Donuts are on display till they are sold, so can be very old, service generally rude, the Manager/Owner is a nasty little man, if there was real competition in the immediate area ( please don't say Starbucks) it would be there in a flash. Unfortunately my kids have to get there DD. I will start walking a few extra blocks to the one further up Ditmars, this please is horrid.

  • John S.

This dunkin donuts cofuses me, it seems as if half the staff know what they are doing and actually listen to your order while others just say screw it and make your coffee however they want. There are a few good friendly people who get the same identical coffee I order nearly every day right and the rude ones who mess it up sometimes twice in a row.

  • Phil M.

Rude, rude, rude service. It's bad enough there is the too-bright lighting and Dunkin Dishwater "coffee" but what is with the staff at this place? They act like they HATE every customer who comes in here. We witnessed a very nasty manager push a subordinate away from the register to the back room despite the long line. The fish rots from the head down. The only reason I go there is for the brownies in the evening when everyone else is closed and the last couple months, they don't even have those anymore. Forget the recently remodeled Starbucks at the corner. The new hard bench seats and wire lawn chairs tell you to get out. Go across the street to Brooklyn Bagel for great coffee and really great service. Astoria desperately needs a LOCAL donut shop that has good service, donuts, and coffee that stays open into the evening. They would put this nasty DD franchise out of business in a week.

love the boston cream donut. and love the french vanilla coffee

  • Chris A.

where everybody knows your name ....ok, not exactly. I find the service in this Dunkin Donuts to be the nicest. The employees seem to know frequent patrons, they pretty much remember their orders. I like it hot, slighty creamy, sweet and fulfilling. That is EXACTLY how I receive my coffee at this location!

    (5)
  • Bingo B.

This place is a Dunkin Donuts. Think about that. You get what you would expect from a Dunkin Donuts. This location, however, seems to offer even more. There's a regular population of old and weird people hanging out inside and outside of this place. I really don't get it. It's like Ants drawn to sugar. Who the hell would want to hang out in a (**&%^ Dunkin Donuts? That said, get your donuts, and get the hell out. Do it before the cops show up (oh wait, they're always here - seriously) because they're probably there to both get their sugar fix AND round up a degenerate or 2 to make Quota that night. Now that's Bi Winning right there. See, everyone's a winner at this place. You should go. Immediately. The Sugar is calling you.

  • Tom I.

Renovation made this place more appealing, but the quality of service remains the same. If you are one of old folks who seem to be "living" at this DD, and conducting neighborhood watch, good for you, you found a new home. Otherwise, I just get my usual and move on. DD is my fav and I refuse to drink Bucks, but there's something about this place just doesn't add up...

  • Samantha S.

I was just discussing with a friend today how a Dunkin Donuts that is always SO crowded during rush hour and a few steps from a competing Starbucks can be such a piece of shit. That being said I stopped here this morning on a whim for an iced coffee. My original DD spot being in Jamaica queens by the railroad station always got it just right (And Alex S. this all Indian branch wasn't at all pushy or rude ((?!?)) But this place just has it all wrong...the lighting is always horrific and the flies just make themselves at home on top of the donuts which I always argue are poorly protected from the elements. My hazelnut iced coffee was really comprised of sugar, milk and a splash of coffee. Unfortunately for me I ordered a large so i had to make some effort to choke it down..only to throw it away after getting off the N train. The people here were dismal and there were too many cooks in the kitchen, resulting in a chaotic behind the counter mess which I find wholly unnecessary if you can just find a few people who can do a job well. I will fork over the extra singles for Starbucks any day when given the option on Ditmars blvd.

  • Trixie V.

I have yet to go to a Dunkin Donuts where I get good service but this one is probably the worst. Stale donuts, miserable cashiers who have attitudes and can't get an order right. I ordered a black coffee with once sweet n low and got iced with milk. *boggles* dirty yuck yuck.

If America runs on this Dunkin, it's no surprise this country is in shambles right now...

  • Lauren S.

One thing I miss about California is the mom and pop donut shops on every block. Where are the donut shops in New York City? They're one big friggin' conglomerate called Dunkin that has partnered with Baskin Robbins to bring you every morsel of sugar that you could ever fathom on every corner of every neighborhood in this godforsaken town. My local Dunkin has one redeeming quality. It's aesthetically very similar to the good ol' donut shops I miss so much. So I experience a bit of nostalgia when I walk through the doors and see the bolted tables and orange benches and brown brick interior. So I don't hate it quite as much and find myself garnering up enough patience to deal with the slow as molasses staff who still don't know how to use their credit card machine and their microwaved breakfast sandwiches that taste like they've been assembled in a gym shoe factory. Something else that is incredibly foreign to me is how dunkin can be a different price in Astoria than it is in Manhattan. A whole dollar less! Does that make sense to everyone but me. If minimum wage is the same price in Manhattan as it is in Queens all the items should be the same price too. Where is that extra dollar going? To pay the toll of the guy who delivers the breakfast sandwiches from the gym shoe factory? The iced coffee is really what I come for and its good enough for what it is but I wish they would invest in some sugar syrup and realize that the grain of sugar does not dissolve in ice. This is a hindrance to a potentially pleasant experiene. But thank you for your multiple flavors and for giving me an excuse to avoid Starbucks like the Bubonic Plague.

I like the coffee better than the Bucks, but the service-forget about it.

  • Jando S.

Out of all of the Dunkin Donut chains, one of its worst resides here along Ditmars in Astoria. What one might expect from the all-Indian staff is some seriously pushy service and attitude for cash only sub par donuts. The donuts aren't well protected, occasionally one might find flying insects hovering around the carb filled pastries and in my case I found one literally inside my donut. It was a sign that this should be my last visit (ever).

  • Cindy L.

This place is always dirty and I mean always! It's the nastiest DD I've ever been to, there's never a place to sit cause of all the senior citizens occupying the place 24/7. The worst part is I showed the guy a perks coupon for that I got on my DD app and he didn't wanna accept it bc there was no coupon code..... So why in the world is it there! These deals don't always have bar codes!!!! I am not coming here again!

  • Demetrios S.

If only I could give an "empty grey star space" review. Smells, tastes, looks, and IS bad.

  • Klaudia W.

They are mixing the fresh donuts (munchkins etc.) with the leftover from the previous day!!!!! WHY?!?!?! They are destroying the business!!! Every single time when I'm buying the box of munchkins, it's like 20 pieces SO HARD, (because it's from YESTERDAY) and 5 is fresh, from today. Apple strudel is good and fresh usually. ONLY!!!!! What is a "LITTLE BIT" bothering me, that they are keep talking in they language (probably Hindi...or whatever) and they are talking about US!!! They PAYING CUSTOMERS!!!! Because many times I saw them LAUGHING!!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!! (AND STUPID!!)

    (1)
  • Mark B.

Cold day, hot tea ! well, what can I say about dunkin donuts?. It's a small location and they keep it clean. Friendly staff. Open 24/7

    (4)
  • Chris H.

I don't know how a chain like DD can have one location mess it up so bad. Consistently bad food with rude staff. My breakfast sandwich was equally tough, stale, and burnt two days in a row. Really? Are the bagels permanently stale and the toaster permanently broken? I live a half a block away, and frequently need a 4-5-6am breakfast sandwich per my work schedule, but will never walk through that front door again.

    (1)
  • Ted Q.

It's a Dunkin Donuts. It's the one closest to the Astoria-Ditmars stop and is right by the Q69 so it's busy at all rush hour times. The only reason why I give it two stars is that they seem to handle the packed crowds pretty well with a system that works and is fast. Otherwise, sometimes the staff seems like they don't care. There's the colony of Greek folks who have taken over the tables in front of the place, the coffee and donuts are only serviceable, the lighting is somewhat dark, and it's not as clean as the other Dunkin Donuts down the road closer to Steinway Street.

    (2)
  • John C.

What can I say about this place that has not already been said ?! The service is poor at best, the donuts are stale and 2 out of 3 times the coffee tastes old and burned. I would not recommend this place.
